- Ethereum layer-two network zkSync has announced the launch of Fair Onboarding Alpha on its mainnet. During this phase, the mainnet will remain closed to end-users, and registered projects can deploy and test applications in a closed environment before the system opens up to external users. Meanwhile, zkSync 2.0 has been renamed zkSync Era∎, and zkSync 1.0 has been renamed zkSync Lite.
- Zhao Changpeng tweeted that in the past few days, the market cap of BUSD has dropped from $16.1 billion to $13.7 billion, a decrease of $2.45 billion, most of which has been transferred to USDT.

- Two of the largest creditors of Mt. Gox, Bitcoinica and MtGox Investment Funds (MGIF), have chosen to primarily receive their bankruptcy claims in Bitcoin (BTC) rather than fiat currency. Together, Bitcoinica and MGIF account for about one-fifth of all Mt. Gox claims and will receive 90% of their recoverable funds in Bitcoin.
- The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has filed a lawsuit in the Southern District Court of New York, accusing Terraform Labs PTE Ltd, headquartered in Singapore, and Do Hyeong Kwon of orchestrating a multi-billion dollar cryptocurrency securities fraud involving algorithmic stablecoins and other cryptocurrency securities. The lawsuit alleges that the defendants violated registration and anti-fraud provisions of the Securities Act and Exchange Act.
