The OpenBuild Global Series Hacker House Hong Kong Demo Day, hosted by Foresight X accelerator under Foresight Ventures, has completed its selection process. During the five-day event, Foresight X invited a judging panel consisting of representatives from Foresight Ventures, HashKey Capital, SevenX Ventures, FutureMoney Group, Waterdrip Capital, CBI holding, Digital Finance Group, Jsquare Group, and EthStorage. Foresight X set up a prize pool of HK$100,000 for this event, and a total of 51 projects participated in the selection.
The Demo Day mainly focused on six tracks: Infrastructure, NFT, DeFi, SocialFi, GameFi, and Web3+AI. The winning projects that were hacked on-site: Hatcher (Web3+AI), TermiX (Web3+AI), Data2.cash (Infrastructure). The winning projects that were mostly existing projects built out prior and improved during the event were: TheStage.ai (Web3+AI), Saame Protocol (SocialFi), and US3R (Infrastructure).

The ZetaChain workshop led by Head of DevOps & Security Charlie McCowan and Head of Community Jonathan Covey helped developers get set up to build the next generation of native cross-chain dApps on ZetaChain. We reviewed key trends across multichain and got our hands dirty with developers deploying omnichain NFT and Swap smart contracts. From POS machines that accept payments from any token on any chain to a natively cross-chain Curve app and others, students’ omnichain ideas are already coming to life just three weeks after the workshop.
