- Sei Labs, the development company behind Sei Network, is currently raising its Series A funding round with a token valuation of $400 million. According to Jayendra Jog, co-founder of Sei Labs, Sei Network is expected to launch its mainnet and conduct an airdrop in the coming months.
- Decentralized digital asset exchange DigiFT has completed a $10.5 million Pre-A round of financing, led by Shanda Group, with participation from HashKey Capital, Hash Global, Xin Enterprise, North Beta Capital and others. The funds raised will be used to support the growth of the exchange and to hire more employees. Foresight News previously reported, in August of last year, DigiFT launched a decentralized securities token exchange and completed the first listing of securities tokens.
- Binance has released a statement in response to Forbes’ “unfounded accusations” on February 27. Binance stated that it receives a large number of crypto asset deposits into user account addresses every day, and many users withdraw to different wallet addresses. The transfers mentioned in the Forbes article, involving Amber Group, Alameda Research, and Justin Sun addresses, were all self-initiated actions by these institutional users or individuals.
- EOS Network Foundation founder and CEO Yves La Rose tweeted that the final testnet for EOS EVM (TrustEVM) will be launched on March 27th, and the mainnet test will be launched on April 14th.
- EIP-4895 initiator Alex Stokes stated that the Ethereum Shapella network upgrade has been activated on the Sepolia testnet and appears to be progressing smoothly so far.
- Nansen analyst Andrew T. stated that over the past 30 days, more than $6 billion BUSD have been burned, which is equivalent to the market capitalization of the top 20 cryptocurrencies. Currently, there are still $11 billion BUSD in circulation, of which approximately $9.7 billion is held on Binance.
- Blockchain Founders Fund has announced that its BFF II Fund has completed a $75 million funding round and has closed its fundraising. Investors include Polygon, Ripple, Octava, NEO Global Capital (NGC), Appworks, GSR, LD Capital, Metavest Capital, and The Sandbox COO Sebastien Borget, among others. The BFF II fund aims to support high-growth potential Web3 and blockchain startups in the pre-seed and seed stages.
- Digital Currency Group (DCG) reported a comprehensive revenue of 719 million US dollars for 2022, but incurred a loss of 1.1 billion US dollars due to the fall in cryptocurrency prices and restructuring of Genesis. DCG’s revenue for Q4 was 143 million US dollars, with a loss of 24 million US dollars.
- Xu Mingxing, CEO of OKX tweeted that “The team will review our listing standards to prevent the listing of similar garbage tokens, and consider delisting CELT. OKEx is a neutral exchange, and no token may use its relationship with OKEx for promotion except OKB and OKT.”
- NFT marketplace Blur announced on Twitter that all wallet addresses suspected of fraudulent bidding will be filtered out in the second quarter airdrop.
