The Indonesian crypto exchange is set to be inaugurated in July 2023, according to the Futures and Commodity Trading Regulatory Agency (Bappebti). Once launched, all crypto transactions in Indonesia will be required to go through the exchange, following stock exchange rules and the implementation of the know your customer (KYC) process. The exchange will facilitate trading through integrated applications, with a focus on local crypto coins while staying updated on international market developments. Bappebti has conducted system integration tests and reported its plans to the Trade Minister. Licensed traders will have one month to join the exchange upon receiving the permit.
