Here’s a rundown of the most noteworthy web3 industry events and project developments to look out for in the coming week

FTX Debt Claiming Website previously stated that it would accept applications around July 3rd after the hearing. However, it now announces that the launch will occur within the next few weeks. Customers will receive notifications through email and the official FTX Twitter account when it becomes open. The deadline for FTX debtors to submit proof of client claims has been set for September 29, 2023, at 4:00 Eastern Time.

The Japanese government has announced the retirement of Junichi Nakashima, the former Minister of Finance, and the appointment of Teruhisa Kurita as his successor, effective July 4th. Teruhisa Kurita, aged 59, currently serves as the Director-General of the Strategy Development and Management Bureau, a division under the Japanese Ministry of Finance responsible for handling cryptocurrency and financial technology matters.

Vietnam’s blockchain week event, “GM Vietnam,” will take place from July 7th to 8th, 2023, at Thiskyhall Sala Conference Center in Ho Chi Minh City.
