Here’s a rundown of the most noteworthy web3 industry events and project developments to look out for in the coming week

The Tokyo International Forum “WebX,” planned and operated by CoinPost, will be held in Tokyo, Japan, from July 25th to 26th. Guests including Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Yuga Labs CEO Daniel Alegre, and the famous Shiba Inu “Kabosu,” the mascot of Dogecoin, will attend.

BuidlerCon2023 will take place in Hong Kong on July 26th. The event will be attended by financial regulators, Asian investment institutions, and representatives from emerging public chains. AC Capital is the main organizer, while Molecular Hub, BlockTides, Mesolabs, and GLITCH Global are co-organizers. The event aims to promote exchanges among builders in the Non-EVM ecosystem and explore the future development and market landscape of the Non-EVM field. The BuidlerCon 2023 Demo Day will also be held concurrently.

MasterCard announced that its Web3 music accelerator will release NFTs based on five selected songs on July 28th at 03:00 Beijing time. These five songs are AI-generated songs selected during the MasterCard Artist Accelerator exhibition hosted by Billboard. The NFTs will be displayed and available on the OneOf Marketplace platform. Additionally, as part of the artist accelerator program, the Music Pass NFTs previously launched on the Polygon blockchain have surpassed 100,000 in terms of minting quantity.

ChinaJoy Web3 Conference 2023 will take place in Shanghai during the ChinaJoy event on July 29th. This conference marks the official debut of the Web3 segment at ChinaJoy. The event will focus on exploring the role of Web3 cutting-edge technology in promoting digital economic development. Hanwei Xinheng, New Fire Technology, and D11 Labs are the joint organizers, and the China Audio-Video and Digital Publishing Association is the guiding unit. Global strategic partners, including Amazon Web Services and Ava Labs, will participate. The conference’s theme is “Creating a New Era of Digital Economy.”
