Here’s a rundown of the most noteworthy industry events and project developments to look out for in the coming week

Decentralized storage infrastructure BNB Greenfield will undergo a reset of the Greenfield testnet and upgrade to version v0.2.0, called the Mekong Testnet on May 25. The new version includes several bug fixes and introduces new features such as service object suspension, outdated permission cleanup, SP GC service, support for listing objects by prefix and delimiter fields, and an upgrade to cosmos-sdk v0.47.2.

During the 109th Ethereum All Core Developers Call (ACDC) meeting, developers announced their plan to release the Deneb specification on May 23 (Deneb being the name for the upcoming immediate Ethereum upgrade on the CL network). They also announced the launch of a new test network to validate the latest changes in the Deneb specification.

The Financial Services Commission (FSC) of South Korea has divided the legislation related to virtual assets into two phases. The first phase has been approved, and the second phase is expected to receive final approval at the National Assembly plenary session, earliest on May 25. The second phase combines a total of 19 different cryptocurrency-related bills into a single independent bill.
