Gitcoin to Launch “Test” Alpha Rounds with UNICEF, Fantom, Optimism, and Alchemix

According to Foresight News, the Alpha Test Season is where Gitcoin will run early design rounds to test grants protocol as part of transition from centralized grants platform.

Gitcoin’s collaborative pilot with UNICEF’s Office of Innovation kick-starts the Alpha Rounds on Dec. 9 and lasts to 21; The Fantom Foundation is leveraging Gitcoin’s grants protocol for an initial round allocating 125,000 FTM to projects built within the Fantom ecosystem from Dec. 12 to Jan. 2, 2023; The 3rd phase, Gitcoin’s streamlined alpha round comprising Open Source Software, Ethereum Infrastructure, and Climate Solutions, is held during Jan. 17 – 31, 2023; The fourth comes Optimism’s 2nd round of Retroactive Public Goods Funding (RetroPGF 2) which lasts from Jan. 31 to Feb. 10, 2023; It concludes with Quadratic Voting round running in Feb., exact date yet to be determined.
