MetaMask tweeted that it had removed the encrypted payment provider Wyre from the mobile aggregator, reminding users not to use Wyre. The team is currently working on Extension removal. Additionally, fiat aggregator Transak, crypto payment platform MoonPay, and crypto settlement platform Sardine (US only) are still available on Apple Pay, Card, and Bank transfers.
As previously reported by Foresight News, Axios reported that Wyre plans to liquidate and terminate services as soon as possible in January 2023. Wyre CEO Ioannis Giannaros responded to Axios by saying the company is still operating and plans to downsize in the near term.
