Software engineer Jane Manchun Wong said on Twitter that Twitter is developing Coins purchasing interface and will use Stripe to process fiat currency payments. Twitter Coins can be used for tipping and can be withdrawn only after accumulating more than $50. Jane Manchun Wong told Decrypt that there is currently no clear indication that Twitter Coins are cryptocurrencies. Jane Manchun Wong also said that developers usually do not push sensitive information about such things when it is not ready, even if it is related to cryptocurrencies, developers will add it to the code when it is released.
