Key Events
The sentencing hearing for Binance founder and former CEO Changpeng Zhao has been postponed from February 24th to April 30th, at the Federal Court in Seattle. Previously, on April 23rd, US prosecutors recommended a 36-month sentence for Zhao, while the federal sentencing guidelines set the maximum sentence for his crimes at 18 months. Zhao’s defense lawyers are seeking probation. The final outcome is pending further court proceedings.
Six virtual asset spot ETFs from Huaxia (Hong Kong), Bosera International, and Jiashi International will be listed and traded on HKEX on April 30th. Each institution will have one Bitcoin spot ETF and one Ethereum spot ETF. These products aim to closely track the performance of Bitcoin/Ethereum, using the CME CF Bitcoin Index or the Ethereum Index (Asia-Pacific closing price) to measure investment results. Management fees vary among the ETFs, with Jiashi’s Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs having an annual management fee of 0.3% of net assets, exempt from fees for the first 6 months after listing; Bosera’s Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs have a management fee of 0.6% of net assets, temporarily waived for the first 4 months after listing; and Huaxia (Hong Kong) ETFs have a management fee of 0.99%.
The deadline for submitting withdrawal requests for initial bankruptcy assets in BlockFi is April 29th at 7:59 AM. Additionally, requests for user verification information must be submitted by May 4th at 7:59 AM.

Decentralized lending protocol ZeroLend hinted to launch its token ZERO on April 29th. ZeroLend completed a $3 million seed round financing in February this year. Aevo started pre-trading the ZeroLend token ZERO on April 18th.
